GCS Case Study
Client: Riverside Housing – Burnt Ash Heights
Temporary Plant solution – saving £40,000.00
What we did
Riverside Housing identified this large property for imminent redevelopment, however with residents still living in the block a solution was needed to ensure heating and hot water was maintained until the block was decanted. Replacing the failing plant room equipment was not a favourable option. Working with all parties we came up with a solution to create a temporary plant room housed in a container which was simply plugged into the existing system.
This innovative solution created £40,000 saving with the added benefit that it can then be used by Riverside for future projects or rented out to other providers.
This project has won “Collaboration of the Year” in the AGSM Supplier Excellence Awards 2016, and has been nominated, as finalists, for both the Housing Innovations Awards 2017 and the H&V News Awards 2017.
